If you missed it, Honey Maid recently released a lovely, warm commercial that was the subject of some controversy after featuring modern families, including one with two dads.
If you haven’t seen it, watch it here:
Though the response was overwhelmingly positive, the internet would not be the internet without haters—some mild, others vicious.
Honey Maid chose to respond to the feedback with a second video, announcing: “We made a commercial about what makes families, family. And we received a lot of comments. See what we did with them.”
Why We Love it
It’s beautiful. It’s in a captivating video format. It was a quick turnover. All of these qualities contributed to its virality, but the thing that really makes this stick with us is its message that love will always win over hate. It acknowledges that the bad exists, but rejoices in that fact that the good far outweighs it. It even goes a step further and finds an artistic way to take that negativity and transform it into something positive.
And the next time we shop for s’more supplies, we’re reaching for Honey Maid.
